Over the years our portfolio of spare parts and consumables has grown significantly. In addition to mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic spare parts we also supply a wide range of oils, greases, and adhesive products for use on rail vehicles and railway depots.

Solving Obsolescence

In addition to sourcing rail vehicle and associated equipment spares, we regularly solve obsolescence by retro-engineering and offer the development of alternative solutions.

We have since 2018 grown this part of the business, employing the services of experienced rail design engineers.

Material Kitting

Efficiency is critically important to your business. Rail Spares offers customised kitting services combining convenience and performance to Train Operators, Heavy Maintenance Companies and Third-Party Installers.
Our kits are built to your specification, resulting in greater levels of productivity by providing the parts your maintenance technicians need, exactly where and when they are needed.
Other benefits include time saved on sourcing various materials from multiple suppliers and subsequent material handling and storage requirements reduced.

Component Overhaul

Since 2017 we have grown the component overhaul part of our business. The range of components overhauled is diverse and varies from electrical to mechanical. We have excellent relationships and work closely with experienced railway suppliers to deliver the necessary quality, timely turnarounds, and cost savings. When required we have developed overhaul procedures for approval by the customer.

Storage

We have the facility and experience to provide a totally managed service, including:

  • Storage capacity for at least 80 pallets
  • Inventory stored in identified stock locations
  • Each pallet labelled with inventory content, catalogue numbers, item descriptions, and quantities
  • Weekly or ad hoc inventory reports available on request
  • Quick response to any requests for inventory to be shipped to requested depot location. Same day service where possible
  • Updated reports when inventory moves
